For those of you that know me well, you’ll know I’m a bit of a nerd sometimes and like to see evidence backing up claims. Well, here’s a post looking at the evidence of why prioritizing your time matters.

Elbert Einstein (told ya this was going to be nerdy) is famous for his theory of relativity E=mc², which shows that energy and mass are interchangeable.

When we are productive, ‘time flies’. Likewise, when we are waiting around and not producing anything, time seems to go on forever. That’s because the two are linked. Space and time are relative. The more you produce, the more time you’ve had.

Which is a complex way of saying “do what you’re most productive at”.

As a broader society, we’re so much more productive now than we were 100 years ago, due to specialisation. People doing what they’re good at.

Being a ‘Jack of all trades’ comes at a penalty if you’re not an expert in all those trades.
