The internet has given rise to overnight experts.

Some amazing musicians’ careers have taken a huge leap by being discovered on the internet and going viral.

It’s also a place full of people doing what they are passionate about. People creating websites that they are extremely passionate about but who will only get a couple of clicks. They do it because they love it.

A professional is neither of these two. They aren’t looking for overnight success, they are in it for the long-haul. Nor are they doing it just for the love of it.

Professionals do it every day because it’s their job. They said they would do it, so they need to do it.

I’m cautious of people advising kids to ‘follow your passion’, because it takes a lot more than passion to make a career.

If you’re in need of a surgeon, you want a professional. One who will perform the operation regardless of how passionate they are feeling on the morning of your surgery.

Professionals are people you can rely on to get the job done.

I’ve heard too many clients tell me lately they are disappointed in the service provided by their machinery dealer, fertiliser provider etc. Demand better. Demand a professional.
